VCCI Vice Chairman DoanDuy Khuong made the statement at a meeting between Vietnamese and Czechbusinesses in Hanoi on Nov. 23.
Speaking at theevent, Chairman of the Czech Chamber of Commerce Miloslav Zeman saidthat bilateral economic cooperation remains modest and has yet to matchthe two countries’ potential and traditional relations.
Zeman pledged to create conditions for Vietnamese businesses to surveymarket and seek cooperative opportunities in the Czech Republic,especially in the Pilsen region.
Vietnam hasexported garment products, wooden furniture and construction materialsto the Czech Republic and mainly imported beer and industrial machineryin a limited quantity from the European country.
Atthe event, the two countries’ businesses operating in the fields ofconstruction materials, industrial machinery, transport, foodstuff andculture exchanged market information to seek partnership for cooperationand development./.
