Hanoi (VNA) – The following is a brief review of the day’s events as reported by the Vietnam News Agency.
– Vietnam strongly and comprehensively supports the national construction, development and renewal efforts of Laos, and will do everything possible to continually strengthen and develop the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, State President Luong Cuong affirmed on November 27.
President Cuong made the statement while addressing a ceremony to celebrate the 50th National Day of Laos (December 2, 1975-2025), and commemorate the 105th birth anniversary of late Lao President Kaysone Phomvihane (December 13, 1920-2025) held in Hanoi by the Party Central Committee, the State President, the National Assembly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and Hanoi city. – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on November 27 received visiting member of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Wei Tao.
PM Chinh welcomed Wei’s first overseas visit in his new post, saying the trip – together with recent visits by Guangxi leaders – reflected Guangxi’s special attention to relations with Vietnam. Read full story
– Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh called on Vietnam’s young entrepreneurs to think boldly, act ambitiously, and uphold national pride and solidarity, while cultivating vision and intellect, whiel addressing the 8th National Congress of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs' Association (VYEA) for the 2025 – 2030 term in Hanoi on November 27.

– National Assembly (NA) Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh received UNICEF Regional Director for East Asia and the Pacific June Kunugi, and Chair of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) Sophie Kiladze in Hanoi on November 26.
The meeting was held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam–UNICEF cooperation and the 35th anniversary of Vietnam’s accession to the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Read full story
– The Vietnam – Australia financial policy dialogue is taking place in Hanoi on November 27–28 as part of the action plan for implementing the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance and the Australian Treasury for the 2024–2028 period.
In his opening remarks, Duong Hung Cuong, Deputy Director of the ministry’s Department of Debt Management and External Economic Relations, stressed that the event demonstrates both sides' strong commitment to deepening their financial partnership, in line with the countries’ Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. – Vietnam and China have signed a protocol allowing the export of fresh Vietnamese jackfruits to the Chinese market, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment announced.
The agreement marks a new milestone in bilateral agricultural product trade, following four other protocols this year covering chilli, passion fruit, rice bran, and raw bird’s nests. Read full story
– Joining the Autumn Economic Forum 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City, numerous international investors have expressed strong interest in participating in and expanding cooperation with the southern metropolis once the Vietnam International Financial Centre (IFC) is established there.
These signals are prompting the city in particular, and Vietnam in general, to accelerate the completion of infrastructure and policies to put the IFC into operation soon. Read full story
– Vietnam’s electronics industry has set a new export record this year despite rising tariffs and trade barriers in major markets.
According to data from the Vietnam Customs, as of November 15, electronics exports reached nearly 143 billion USD. Shipments of computers, electronic products and components totalled 92.13 billion USD, up 48.3%, while phones and components posted nearly 51 billion USD, a year-on-year rise of 5%. Read full story./.
