– Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh told a World Economic Forum (WEF) session in Ho Chi Minh City on November 26 that sci-tech will be the primary driver behind Vietnam’s ambition to become a developed, industrialised nation by 2045.

Speaking in a “60 Minutes with the Prime Minister” dialogue with WEF Managing Director Stephan Mergenthaler at the 2025 Autumn Economic Forum, PM Chinh said the country has overcome past challenges through the Party’s strong leadership, national unity, the resilience of its people and businesses, the combination of domestic strengths and global trends, and a consistent policy of independence, self-reliance, and the path toward socialism. – Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha paid official visits to New Zealand and Australia from November 20–25, aiming to deepen substantive cooperation with these key Oceania partners.

– Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung on November 26 received Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, who is on a working visit to Vietnam.

– Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung held talks with Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, who is on an official visit to Vietnam, in Hanoi on November 26.

– Minister of National Defence General Phan Van Giang has called on the defence ministries of Vietnam and the Philippines to strengthen delegation exchanges at all levels, particularly high-level visits, and to enhance the effectiveness of cooperation mechanisms, especially the Defence Policy Dialogue.

At a reception for Philippine Undersecretary of National Defence Irineo C. Espino on November 26, General Giang highlighted the positive outcomes of bilateral defence cooperation in recent years, including delegation exchanges, maintenance of cooperation mechanisms, human resource training, young officer exchanges, collaboration between military services and maritime law enforcement forces, as well as close coordination in ASEAN-led multilateral forums. Frigate 015 – Tran Hung Dao concludes visit to RoK

During the visit, officers and sailors of the two navies toured Frigate 015 and the RoK Navy’s Munmu the Great destroyer, shared experience in training and long-duration deployments at sea, and took part in sports exchanges. Nhon Trach 3 and 4 thermal power plants reflect Vietnam’s determination, expertise: PM

The Nhon Trach 3 and 4 power thermal plants, invested by Petrovietnam Power Corporation, have a total investment of around 1.4 billion USD. With a combined capacity of 1,624 MW, the plants are expected to supply over 9 billion kWh annually once fully operational, adding substantial baseload power to the system, particularly in the southern region.
