Army delegation visits Luang Prabang’s Military Headquarters

It is part of his working visit to Laos from June 24-27.

Sen. Lieut. Gen. Ngo Xuan Lich praised the cooperation between the Laoprovincial Military Headquarters with Vietnam ’s Military Zone 2 aswell as a number of provincial commands.

He informedrepresentatives of Luang Prabang’s Military Headquarters of the outcomeof the talks with the delegation from the General Department ofPolitics under the Lao Defence Ministry, emphasising the importance ofenhancing solidarity, cooperation and mutual assistance between the twoarmies.

He said he hopes Lao officers and soldierswill fulfil their tasks successfully, contributing to provincial andnational socio-economic development.

At the meeting, he was also briefed on the provincial situation and military training.

Earlier on the same day, he held talks with Lao Deputy DefenceMinister and Director of the General Politics Department of the LaoPeople’s Army (LPA) Sengneun Saynhalath.

The twosides have agreed to promote cooperation between their army units andenhance security links with the aim to build a shared borderline ofpeace, friendship, cooperation and development.

To further strengthen Vietnam-Belgium relations, especially parliamentary cooperation, both sides agreed to enhance delegation exchanges at all levels, particularly between parliamentary committees and friendship groups. They also pledged to share legislative and supervisory experience, coordinate positions in international organisations, support each other’s candidacies for UN bodies, and effectively implement the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).
