Arakelyan said the partnership between the two NA offices holds an important role within the framework of the strong friendship and cooperation between the two countries and their parliaments.

Through sharing, learning, and exchanging experience with the advisory and secretariat bodies of other countries’ parliaments, the Armenian NA Office has conditions to improve the quality and effectiveness of its activities in service of the Armenian legislature, he said.

Arakelyan expressed his desire to strengthen cooperation with the Vietnamese NA Office so that the two sides can exchange experience in areas of mutual interest, such as digital transformation, digital parliament, and applying technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI)) in parliamentary activities.

For his part, Tung stated the application of information technology, including digital transformation and AI, is one of the current priorities of the Vietnamese NA, adding that this also requires the continuous improvement of the capacity and quality of human resources to meet increasing demands in the context of promoting the application of technology and digital transformation in legislative activities.

The Vietnamese official also underlined the need to strengthen coordination mechanisms between the NA offices and secretaries general with agencies of the NA’s bodies as well as other relevant agencies.

Agreeing with Arakelyan’s proposals, Tung stressed that it is necessary to strengthen information exchange and experience sharing, and better the working capacity of the staff and specialists of the two NA offices to meet current requirements.

The two officials also agreed that they will maintain close coordination and mutual support at regional and international forums, expressing their confidence that the friendship and cooperation between the Vietnamese and Armenian NAs, and their respective advisory and assistant bodies will become stronger and deeper in the coming time./.
