This annual activity is to create opportunities for the embassies of Indonesia , Malaysia , the Philippines , Thailand and Vietnam to get together to strengthen their mutual understanding and cooperation.
The Vietnamese ambassador to Argentina , Thai Van Lung, and several representatives from the Vietnamese trade mission and the Vietnam News Agency attended a concert and various sporting events while having time to sample various kinds of traditional foods provided by the other embassies.
Argentinan and ASEAN cooperation has been increasing over recent years, especially in trade. In the first eight months of this year, two-way trade reached 2.8 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 20 percent, of which Argentinan exports to ASEAN countries reached 2.1 billion USD, up by 47 percent and imports amounted to 710 million USD./.
