solidarity and friendship between ASEAN’s member nations in the coming
time.

Addressing the event, Rusnah Ismail, AWC Chairwoman for the 2013 tenure, briefed attendees on the remarkable outcomes made by the club during the year, especially in carrying out humanitarian activities and strengthening mutual understanding between people in ASEAN member states.
Participants reviewed the operation of the club in 2013 and approved the club’s action plan for 2014, focusing on prioritising charitable works and promoting cooperation in education and culture among the nations in the bloc.
They also mapped out measures to hasten the regional integration process and the establishment of the ASEAN Community by 2015.
The meeting elected Sabqai Win, the wife of the Head of Myanmar’s Permanent Mission to ASEAN, as AWC Chairwoman for 2014.-VNA
