The Bank of Investment and Development for Vietnam (BIDV) will lend6,225 billion VND (about 296.43 million USD) to several BOT(Build-Operate-Transfer) projects to expand and upgrade nationalhighways and develop social housing.
A contractbetween investors, lenders, contractors and materials suppliers of theprojects was signed on July 19 in the central province of Binh Dinh.
The Vietnam Construction Bank (VNCB) is the otherlender to the projects, which have a total investment of 8,446 billionVND (about 402.2 million USD).
The BOT projects aimto upgrade three sections of National Highway 1A (km 587-649, km672-704, and km 1212-1265); and the section of Ho Chi Minh Trail (orNational Highway 14) in Pleiku; as well as build a housing complexwith 1,735 apartments.-VNA
