Book on Dien Bien Phu victory makes debut

A collection of 15 books featuring the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954) was released by the People’s Army Publishing House in Hanoi on April 8.

A collection of 15 books featuring the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7,1954) was released by the People’s Army Publishing House in Hanoi onApril 8.

This is part of activities to celebrate the 60thanniversary of the victory that put an end to the French colonial rulein Vietnam.

With various genres, the books highlight the soundand creative people-based war strategy designed by the Party, latePresident Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap.

The Dien BienPhu – Moc Vang Lich Su (Dien Bien Phu – Historic Golden Mark) by GeneralVo Nguyen Giap and Dien Bien Phu Qua Nhung Trang Tu Lieu (Dien Bien PhuThrough File Pages) by a group of authors provide an analysis of theParty’s political and military guidelines.

Other books, namelyDien Bien Phu – Ky Uc 60 Nam (Dien Bien Phu – A 60 Year Memory) by DoSam; Dien Bien Phu – Mot Ky Quan Lich Su (Dien Bien Phu – A HistoricWonder) by Hoang Lam, and Dau Co Giac La Ta Cu Di (We’ll March Where theEnemy is) by Hanoi-based former soldiers from Division 316, are diariesof people who participated in the battle.
