The central province of Quang Nam has come up with plans to celebrate the 20th anniversary of UNESCO’s recognition of its Hoi An ancient town and My Son Sanctuary as World Heritage Sites and the 10th anniversary of Cu Lao Cham’s recognition as a biosphere reserve.

Accordingly, a wide range of activities will be held mark this occasion slated for September 7-15.

Some 4,500 domestic and international delegates and locals are expected to participate in these events with artistic performances being the highlight of the ceremony.

Organizers have also assigned localities, associations and businesses to make thorough preparations in a bid to elevate the image of Quang Nam province to both domestic and international visitors aiming to further boost local tourism development and raise the public awareness about the conservation and promotion of heritage values.
