(Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – A conference, entitled“Managing and strengthening Brand Strength Index 2017”, convened in Hanoi onDecember 28 to provide Vietnamese enterprises with proper understanding ofbrand value and foster the development of Vietnam’s brands.
The eventwas co-held by brand management consultancy MiBrand Vietnam and UK-basedindependent branded business valuation and strategy consultancy Brand Finance,with about 100 Vietnamese leading brands, including VNPT, Vinaphone, MobileWorld, MobiFone, Vinhome, Vietnam Airlines and more, in attendance.
BrandFinance and MiBrand Vienam are working on long-term projects to help firmscreate brand values, said Managing Director of MiBrand Vietnam Lai Tien Manh.
The projectsstarted off with strengthening awareness of the significance of intangibleassets, developing international-standard tools for measuring brand values andadvising on strategic marketing activities for successful brand positioning andhow to build competitive advantages, Manh explained.
Samir Dixit, Brand Finance Managing Director forAsia-Pacific, said most of Vietnamese firms focused more on boosting salesthrough marketing rather than branding. He highlighted the brand as a keybusiness asset that influences the company’s competitiveness and profits. Itrequires more investment, he noted.
At the conference, the two consultancy firms honouredVietnam’s Top 50 Brands in 2017 with Viettel topping the list of Top 10 MostValuable Brands, followed by Vinamilk, VNPT, Vinhome and Sabeco.
The total brand value of the Top 50 Brands this year wasestimated at nearly 11.3 billion USD.-VNA
