Khanh Hoa (VNA) – The central province of Khanh Hoa on August 4 welcomed the international cruise ship Ms Viking Yidun at Cam Ranh International Port, bringing 210 tourists from various countries including China, Canada, and Italy ashore to explore local attractions.

While in Khanh Hoa, the visitors toured the ancient Ponagar Tower, engaged in cultural activities at Truong Son craft village, and visited Long Son Pagoda, among other experiences.

By the evening of the same day, the vessel departed Cam Ranh to continue its journey, with Ho Chi Minh City as the next destination.

According to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Khanh Hoa has welcomed 16 international cruises so far this year, with more than 19,000 tourists disembarking to explore the province’s scenic landscapes and renowned cultural, religious, and artistic landmarks, as well as to enjoy local cuisine and sightseeing tours.

From now until the end of 2025, it is expected to receive four more cruise ships carrying approximately 12,000 visitors. This reflects positive momentum in the province’s cruise tourism recovery and development, following the shift of cruise arrivals from Nha Trang Port to Cam Ranh International Port due to ongoing renovation and upgrade works at the former.

Since the beginning of the year, Khanh Hoa has recorded over 10.8 million tourist arrivals, including more than 3.2 million international visitors, with total tourism revenue reaching 42.379 trillion VND (1.61 billion USD)./.
