Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung at the event (Photo: VNA) Moscow (VNA) –Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung attended the plenary session of the fifthEastern Economic Forum under the chair of Russian President Vladimir Putin inVladivostok city on September 5.
Speaking at the event, Putin welcomedthe delegates to the forum saying that their presence demonstrates deepinterests in increasing economic-trade links with Russia. He said as an Eurasianpower, Russia pays attention to the vibrant development of Asia-Pacific andstands ready to join bilateral dialogues and multilateral cooperation at forumssuch as the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), theShanghai Cooperation Organisation (SOC) and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation(EAEU).
On theoccasion, Dung hosted a reception for Presidential Commissioner forEntrepreneurs' Rights B.Titov.
Titov saidRussia has taken measures to protect enterprises’ rights such as easingadministrative pressure and simplifying criminal procedures involvingbusinesses, and wishes to cooperate with Vietnam to share experience in thefield.
Dung laudedthe Russian official’s suggestion, saying that cooperation in this field willstrengthen bonds between the two nations’ firms and improve the efficiency ofcollaboration in joint projects.
Within theframework of the fifth Eastern EconomicForum, Dung received Governor of Primorie province Oleg Kozhemiako the sameday.
The Vietnamese Deputy PMproposed Vietnam and Russia’s Far East region work closely together in thefields of trade, tourism and training. He said Vietnam has demand for productsof Primorie’s strength such as minerals, wood, agro-forestry-fisheries, andstays ready to export aquatic products and consumer goods to the province.
He affirmedthat the Vietnamese government always backs partnership between Vietnamese andRussian localities, and suggested the two sides continue researching specificprojects.
Dung thankedthe authorities of Primorie province and the Governor himself for creatingfavourable conditions for Vietnamese communities in the locality, andsupporting the building of President Ho Chi Minh Monument in Vladivostok, whichwas completed in July 2019.
Kozhemiako, for his part,affirmed that authorities and people of Primorie will do their best to fosterbilateral ties.
Meeting Russian Deputy PrimeMinister and Presidential Envoy to the FarEastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev, Dung asked the Russianauthorities to create favourable conditions for Vietnamese citizens inimmigration procedures as well as for Vietnamese crewmembers working on foreignvessels that arrive in Russia.
Both sides talked ways toenhance joint work between Russia’s Far East and Vietnam in trade, investment,tourism, labour, education – training, and science-technology.
Deputy PM Dung saidVietnamese enterprises are interested in doing business in the Far East,particularly in mining and agriculture, milch cow farming and milk processing.
Trutnev said the Far East authoritieswill soon send a delegation to Vietnam to explore business opportunities withlocalities and partners.-VNA
