Hanoi (VNA) – An exhibition featuring Vietnam’s generals in two resistance wars against the French and American troops commenced at the Vietnam Military History Museum in Hanoi on December 20.

More than 200 photos, documents, and objects on display depict the care of the Party, State, and late President Ho Chi Minh to generals of the Vietnam People’s Army in the resistance wars, and capture the generals in major fights and battle fields in the wars.

The event marked the 74th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 29th anniversary of All-people Defence Festival.

Director of the Museum Mai Thi Ngoc said the exhibition manifests the tribute to the generals who rendered services to the resistance wars.

It aims to impart the national pride and patriotism to the armed forces and people, especially young generation, to resolutely safeguard the homeland in the new circumstances.

The exhibition is taking place at 28A Dien Bien Phu street.-VNA
