Hanoi (VNA) – A major exhibition showcasing Vietnam’s achievements over the past eight decades will open its doors free of charge to the public as part of celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the National Day (September 2, 1945–2025).
Held under the theme “80-Year Journey of Independence – Freedom – Happiness”, the event will run from August 28 to September 5 at the Vietnam Exposition Centre in Dong Anh commune, Hanoi.
The exhibition will highlight the nation’s progress across multiple fields and feature the participation of central agencies, all the 34 provinces and cities, as well as leading state-owned and private enterprises. Alongside display activities, visitors can enjoy a wide range of artistic performances, forums, workshops, interactive experiences, and cultural exchanges.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong stressed that the exhibition is not only a significant political and cultural event but also a source of national pride, fostering unity and inspiring aspirations for a strong and prosperous Vietnam. The event serves as a centerpiece in a series of activities marking the National Day, aiming to create an atmosphere of celebration and solidarity nationwide.
The programme will include the opening ceremony on August 28 at the North Square, broadcast live on Vietnam Television and Radio the Voice of Vietnam; a forum on AI applications in the digital era, a seminar on the role of data in the digital era, along with a music show hosted by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on August 29; and an evening art programme by the Ministry of Public Security on August 30.
Other highlights are music performances held by the Hanoi People's Committee on August 31, various cultural activities on September 1 and 3, an art programme presented by the Hue People's Committee on September 2, the Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City Business Forum on September 4, and the closing ceremony also broadcast live nationwide on September 5 evening.
The exhibition will be open daily from 9 am to 10 pm./.
