The latest housing designs and property developments will be on displayat the VIETBUILD 2012 international exhibition in Hanoi's VietnamExhibition and Fair Centre.

The five-day event, to be openedon Nov 24, will introduce environmentally-friendly materials andenergy-saving devices related to the housing industry.

AFCInternational Exhibition Company general director Nguyen Dinh Hung toldthe media on Nov. 19 that the exhibition will feature 1,026 booths from241 domestic businesses, 42 joint venture companies and 23 foreigngroups and enterprises. Participants come from China, the Republic ofKorea, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Italy, Indonesia, Hong Kong,Switzerland, Singapore, France, the US and India.

Hung saidthis wide participation showed that there is a demand in the sector forenterprises to cooperate and do business, despite the economic meltdownwhich has affected the real estate market.

The event isexpected to offer opportunities to enhance investment in the Vietnameseproperty market while providing customers with the latest technologies.

The exhibition will include the presentation of the VTOPBUILDand VIETOPRE awards to encourage quality improvements and creation ofconstruction and real estate products.-VNA

Dien stated that Vietnam has a strong and stable demand for US products, equipment, and services, especially in hi-tech and energy sectors. He affirmed Vietnam’s commitment to fostering a transparent and healthy trade environment, noting that Vietnam stands ready to boost coordination with the US side in combating trade fraud, origin fraud, and illegal transshipment.
