Foreign military attachés visit southern, central localities

Foreign military attachés working in Vietnam have had a chance to tour the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho, Ho Chi Minh City and central Khanh Hoa province as part of a plan from the Defence Ministry’s Department for External Affairs.

Can Tho (VNA) – Foreign militaryattachés working in Vietnam have had a chance to tour the Mekong Delta city ofCan Tho, Ho Chi Minh City and central Khanh Hoa province as part of a plan fromthe Defence Ministry’s Department for External Affairs.

In Can Tho, the delegation visited the chiefof the High Command of Military Region 9 and the Military Command, Quan DoiNhan Dan newspaper reported.

In Khanh Hoa’s Nha Trang city, they talkedwith rector of the Telecommunications University major general Nguyen HoangTuyen and director of the Cam Ranh International Port Colonel Uong Xuan PhucSon.

The delegation also visited several touristattractions and historic relic sites in Can Tho, Ho Chi Minh City and NhaTrang.

Colonel Mpiwa Kgotso Abiel, South Africanmilitary attaché, thanked the Defence Ministry for organising the trip, sayingthat it helped strengthen relations and improve understanding and trust betweenforeign military attachés and the Vietnamese army and people.

He expressed his hope for more visits and workingsessions with the Vietnam People’s Army in the future.-VNA
