Foreign Minister: Vietnam wishes to further deepen ties with Romania

Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son has affirmed that Vietnam treasures and wishes to continue further deepening traditional friendship and all-around cooperation with Romania.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese Ministerof Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son has affirmed that Vietnam treasures and wishes to continue further deepening traditional friendship and all-around cooperationwith Romania.

During a reception in Hanoi onOctober 19 for Romanian Ambassador to Vietnam Cristina Romila, Son thankedRomania for providing active and effective support for Vietnam to promote thesigning of the European Union – Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).

He hailed Romania as one of the first threeEU member states to approve the EVFTA and suggested both sides work closelytogether to effectively realise the deal for the benefit of both countries.

Son also thanked the Romanian Governmentand people for donating 300,000 AstraZeneca doses and staying ready to transfera large number of vaccines in non-commercial principles to Vietnam.

Romila, for herpart, affirmed thatin hers position, she and the Romanian Embassy in Hanoi will serve as a bridge tofoster bilateral friendship and collaboration as desired by the two countries’leaders./.
