Vietnam’s garment exports fetched 1.3 billion USD in March, raising the total export turnover of this product in the first three months of 2013 to 3.8 billion USD.

According to the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex), Vietnamese garments enjoyed a growth of over 10 percent in the US market and remained a 20 percent increase in the Japanese market.

Meanwhile, the EU market showed signs of increasing demand for textile products from Vietnam.

At present, local textile and garment businesses are focusing on producing products meeting high technical and quality requirements, thus raising the export turnover.-VNA
