Lai
Chau (VNA) – Minister-Chairman of the Government Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs Hau A Lenh on January 14 led a delegation
to pay a visit to ethnic minority groups in Than Uyen district of the northern mountainous
province of Lai Chau on the threshold of the
Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.

circumstances in ethnic minority areas.
Minister Lenh praised the local political system and people
for their efforts to overcome difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and reap achievements across fields.

restructuring of crops and livestock, towards gradually improving income for
local people and promoting poverty reduction.
Lenh also suggested the local authority pay attention to strengthening the
great national unity bloc, implementing socio-economic development goals and ensuring social order and
safety, thus contributing to completing criteria in the national target programme on building new-style rural areas.
