Representatives from 40 Japanese travel agencies and tourist associations attended a seminar in Ha Long City on October 24, exploring the tourism potential of Ha Long Bay in the northern province of Quang Ninh, local authorities have reported.

The seminar was of great significance, as Vietnam is currently carrying out its tourism development strategy. The country is also attempting to attract more visitors from high-end markets like Japan , to destinations such as Ha Long Bay, a world natural heritage, according to the organising board at a press briefing after the seminar.

During the event, the delegates had the opportunity to get a comprehensive picture of the bay’s beauty and its tourism potential, as well as its other unique tourist products and services and nearby places of interest.

They also took the opportunity to experience the bay’s stunning scenery first hand by undergoing a series of field trips./.
