Ha Long City hosts theoretical workshop

The eighth theoretical workshop between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) opened in Ha Long City in the northern Quang Ninh province on June 7.

Dinh The Huynh,Politburo member, Secretary of the CPV’s Central Committee and Head ofthe Popularisation and Education Commission and Liu Yunshan, Politburomember, Secretary of the CPC’s Central Committee’s Secretariat andDirector of the CPC’s Propaganda Department attended the event alongwith a number of other senior officials from both Parties.

Thefocus of the seminar was enhancing Vietnam ’s model of economicgrowth and changing the methods of economic development used in China.

The delegates heard a report on how to restructure andreview Vietnam ’s model of economic growth by Dinh The Huynh as well asa proposal of how to adapt the ways China develops its economy byLiu Yunshan.

Huynh said the theoretical talks between the twoParties will clarify theoretical issues related to economicrestructuring, models of economic growth and ways of developing theeconomies of both nations.

He said that he believed that in aspirit of comradeship and openness, the workshop will help both Partiesenrich their knowledge, sharpen their theory and successfully carry outtheir tasks of promoting the revolutionary cause in their respectivecountries.

Liu said the workshop will help both Parties tofully understand the socio-economic development process and promotenational modernisation and socialism.

The theoretical workshophas become part of the cooperation mechanism between the two Parties andthe two nations, he added.

The delegates will hear severalreports and hold in-depth discussions on issues of common concern duringthe three-day workshop.-VNA
