Hanoi has so far established 80 chains of safe farm produce, according to the municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi has so farestablished 80 chains of safe farm produce, according to the municipalDepartment of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Of the total, there are five collectivebrands, namely Ba Vi chicken, Soc Son chicken, Son Tay chicken, Van Dinh duckand Lien Chau duck eggs.

Farm-to-fork chains with animal origin haveattracted the participation of more than 3,000 family farms and 120 businessesand individuals operating in the sectors of animal feed, medicine,slaughtering, food processing and distribution.

The department is examining 140 facilitiesto build a programme that helps trace products’ origin using QR codes.  

Annual food consumption in the domestic marketaccounts for roughly 15 percent of Vietnam’s GDP, with average annual growthrate of 18 percent. As such, inadequate safety standards can inhibit thesector’s growth potential, jeopardising consumer health and reducing marketopportunities for local food producers.-VNA

Local leaders must be held accountable for IUU fishing violations: PM

PM Chinh requested the Government Inspectorate to promptly identify localities that lack determination or fail to handle violations thoroughly, including cases where vessels not meeting legal requirements are still allowed to leave ports, and to clarify responsibilities and impose sanctions without delay.

C.P. Vietnam exports first processed chicken batch to Singapore

The CPV Food Binh Phuoc plant operates a closed-loop system and holds international certifications, including HACCP, BRC, ISO 22000, and Halal. Before reaching Singapore, the company’s processed chicken was already exported to Japan, Hong Kong (China), Cambodia, and Laos, with Japan alone importing 10,000 tonnes by November 2025.
