Ho Chi Minh City will create favourable conditions for Italian businesses and investors, particularly those from the northern region of Emilia – Rogman, to seek investment cooperation opportunities in the Vietnamese southern hub.

Chairwoman of the HCM City People’s Council Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam made the pledge during a meeting with the president of the region’s legislative assembly Palma Costi in the city on October 15.

She said that the Italian delegation’s visit offers a chance for HCM City and Emilia – Rogman to discover each other’s needs and strengthen their business ties.

Chairwoman Tam also added that cooperation between the city and Italian localities, including Emilia – Rogman, has not met expectations in the past and needs to be increased to meet potential.

For her part, Costi said her visit aims to realise cooperation programmes in trade and technology and help the region’s businesses to explore potential areas of partnership.

As a locality with high living standards in Italy, Emilia – Rogman is willing to share its experience with HCM City to tackle development problems, she noted.-VNA
