-Since itsintroduction into Vietnam, Buddhism has integrated into the Vietnamese sociallife and become an important element in the national culture, Prime MinisterPham Minh Chinh said in a reception for a delegation of the Vietnam BuddhistSangha (VBS) after the success of the 9th National Buddhist Congress onNovember 29.

Vietnam, Cambodia step up defence cooperation

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet said his country values defence cooperation with Vietnam, pledging to support and facilitate Vietnam’s efforts to locate and repatriate the remains of the volunteer soldiers. He also expressed his support for Vietnamese defence enterprises effectively operating in Cambodia.

Brazilian President begins state visit to Vietnam

President Lula da Silva is the first foreign head of state to pay a state visit to Vietnam in 2025. This is also the second time he has visited Vietnam as the head of state, after the first time in 2008.
