- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh urged online retail giant Amazon to furtherexpand its operations in Vietnam while receiving Vice President ofInternational Public Policy & Government Affairs at Amazon Susan Pointer.

PMChinh affirmed that Vietnam always considers the US one of its top importantpartners. In the joint statement on the upgrade of Vietnam-US ties to acomprehensive strategic partnership and at a meeting between the Vietnamese PMand US President Joe Biden in September 2023, the two sides defined cooperationin sci-tech, digital transformation and innovation as one of the newbreakthroughs in the bilateral relationship.
