- General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee To Lam and his spouse, together with the high-level Vietnamese delegation, attended a state banquet hosted by General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and his spouse in Vientiane on December 1 evening.
In an atmosphere of friendship, the Lao leader warmly welcomed General Secretary Lam and his spouse, along with the Vietnamese high-level delegation, to their state visit to Laos. He emphasised that the visit embodies the warm friendship and solidarity of the Vietnamese Party, State, and people towards their Lao counterparts. Read full story

- State President Luong Cuong held talks in Hanoi on December 1 with Sultan of Brunei Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, who is on a three-day state visit to Vietnam through December 2.
The talks, held right after the welcome ceremony hosted by President Cuong, saw the Vietnamese leader hail the great significance of the visit which, he said, will inject fresh momentum into the Vietnam – Brunei Comprehensive Partnership, making it more substantive and effective for the development and prosperity of both nations. - State President Luong Cuong on December 1 hosted a state banquet in honour of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah and the high-ranking delegation of Brunei on their state visit to Vietnam from November 30 to December 2. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh was also in attendance.
Warmly welcoming the Sultan, the President stressed that more than 30 years after the establishment of diplomatic relations and over five years since the upgrading of their ties to a Comprehensive Partnership, Vietnam and Brunei have seen their relations continuously strengthened and expanded, yielding important and substantive results. Both sides are actively implementing the 2023-2027 action programme, focusing on effectively leveraging potential areas of cooperation such as agriculture, fisheries, Halal industry development, energy, education, tourism, and maritime collaboration. - Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Tran Thanh Man on December 1 met with Sultan of Brunei Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, who is on a state visit to Vietnam.
Appreciating the Sultan’s visit, which takes place at a time when the two countries are striving to effectively implement the 2023–2027 Action Programme, Chairman Man expressed his confidence that the trip will create new momentum to further advance the Vietnam–Brunei Comprehensive Partnership in a more substantive and effective manner. - Con Dao National Park in Ho Chi Minh City has officially been awarded the prestigious IUCN Green List certification, becoming Vietnam’s third and the world’s 101st protected area to receive the global recognition for effective and equitable conservation management.
The certificate was presented on November 29 at a ceremony co-organised by the park’s management board and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) at the park headquarters on Con Dao island. Read full story
