Hanoi (VNA) – The following is a list of selected news summaries reported last night by the Vietnam News Agency.

– Vietnam and Jordan should continue to strengthen bilateral relations and political trust, strive to become each other’s trusted partners, effectively implement existing agreements, and expand cooperation in defence and security, economic development and sustainable growth.

– State President Luong Cuong hosted a reception for Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives Mazen Turki El Qadi in Hanoi on February 3, stating that the visit will sustain fresh momentum for bilateral ties to develop more strongly and substantively.

– State President Luong Cuong on February 3 received Czech Ambassador to Vietnam Hynek Kmonicek, who paid a farewell call upon the completion of his tenure in the country.

– Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has reaffirmed Vietnam’s openness to Swiss and European enterprises, encouraging greater investment in high-tech and high value-added projects linked with technology transfer, as well as deeper cooperation in green and digital transformation, renewable energy, the marine economy, green finance and tourism.

At a February 3 meeting with a delegation of Swiss and European businesses led by Dr Philipp Rösler, President of the Swiss–Viet Economic Forum (SVEF), the PM commended the forum and Rösler for their active role in connecting Vietnam with partners, promoting investment cooperation and enhancing Vietnam’s profile among European and global business communities. The 96 honourees are exemplary Party cell secretaries selected and recommended by Party committees at all levels. He reaffirmed the CPV’s resolve to follow the Congress’s guidelines, overarching goals, key tasks, and strategic breakthroughs, with the aim of achieving fast and sustainable development and building Vietnam into a developed country with a socialist orientation. – Vice Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong received a delegation of the Committee on National Security at the Hungarian NA led by Committee Chairman Zoltan Sas in Hanoi on February 3.
