- Party General Secretary To Lam on February 3 attended a ceremony to launch the construction of the Communist Party of Vietnam Museum in Hanoi.
The ceremony, part of activities celebrating the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930–2026) and the success of the 14th National Party Congress, also drew incumbent and former Politburo members, Secretariat members, and leaders of central agencies and Hanoi, along with ambassadors, diplomatic representatives and international organisations in Vietnam. - State President Luong Cuong hosted a reception in Hanoi on February 3 for Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Politburo member and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, who is visiting Vietnam as special envoy of the Communist Party and the State of Cuba
Welcoming the special envoy and high-ranking delegation of Cuba, the Vietnamese leader said the visit, which took place shortly after the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), underscored the close, trust-based and lasting relations between the two Parties, States, and peoples. - Jordan considers Vietnam an important partner in Asia and wishes to step up cooperation, sharing and exchanges of experience in areas of mutual strength, particularly agricultural production, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, defence industry, cybersecurity, Halal production, and science-technology, Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives Mazen Turki El Qadi told Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at their meeting in Hanoi on the morning of February 3.
Against the backdrop of profound changes in the global and regional situation, PM Chinh stressed that Vietnam and Jordan, which share many common interests and values, need to further strengthen solidarity and cooperation to open up new opportunities for the benefit of their people, and for peace, stability and development in both regions and the world at large. - The term of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam is an extremely important and pivotal period, carrying decisive significance for the country’s two strategic centennial goals. The Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress clearly sets the major objectives, orientations and measures for the new term and the subsequent stages.
To achieve these goals, Party General Secretary To Lam emphasised that the phrase “deeds must match words” should guide all actions. Every policy and task should have clear objectives and measures, tie responsibility to results, balance breakthroughs with sustainability, and measure performance by the People’s satisfaction. - In its 96-year journey, the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) has forged an enduring trust and confidence among the people, which enables them to advance towards the future of a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
Before the founding of the CPV, Vietnam endured a long night of slavery. The people were patriotic but isolated and trapped in dead ends. With the Party’s emergence, the nation found a clear path and saw the light. From national subjugation, Vietnam rose to freedom; from poverty, the people advanced towards prosperity. Read full story
- The 14th National Party Congress adopted strategic and forward-looking decisions marked by breakthrough thinking. To translate its Resolution into practical outcomes, it is necessary to redouble determination and step up action, as required by Party General Secretary To Lam in his article “Forward! Total victory will surely be ours!” released on January 25.
Notably, according to the General Secretary, among the 14 Party Congresses held to date, the 14th Congress marked the first time that an Action Programme was issued by the Party Central Committee alongside the Resolution, with the aim of rapidly and effectively materialising the adopted documents.
