- Minister of Public Security Gen. To Lam had a meetingwith Lao Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieut. Gen. Vanthong Kongmany inHanoi on July 7.
Gen. Lam noted that although both Vietnam and Laos have faceddifficulties from the COVID-19 pandemic, the special friendship andcomprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in general and between thetwo Ministries of Public Security in particular have continued to thrive and bedeepened with substantial outcomes. - Various measures have been taken to protect and supportVietnamese citizens facing difficulties in Cambodia, Spokeswoman of theMinistry of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang said at a press conference on July7 while answering reporters’ questions regarding the situation of Vietnameseworkers being forced to work in the neighbouring country.
Hang said that solutions have been implemented withcollaboration between Vietnamese representative agencies in Cambodia andauthorised agencies and localities at home, especially localities along theshared border with Cambodia. Read full story

- Measures taken to bring down petrol prices could reduceState budget collection by 32.5 trillion VND (1.4 billion USD) this year,according to Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi.
