NA Vice Chairwoman presents Tet gifts in Ninh Binh province

Ninh Binh (VNA) - A working delegation of the National Assembly (NA) led by its Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh on February 10 visited and presented gifts to poor and disadvantaged households in the northern province of Ninh Binh on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) of the Horse.

Thanh handed over 1,564 gift packages, each worth 1 million VND (about 37 USD), to policy beneficiary families, the poor and those in difficult circumstances. The gifts were distributed through the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organisations, relevant associations and local authorities.

She congratulated the Party organisation, administration and people of Ninh Binh on their achievements in 2025, expressing her confidence that with solidarity and strong determination, the province will continue to make greater contributions to the country’s renewal process.

Extending New Year wishes, Thanh hoped the province would embrace the new year with renewed confidence, resolve and success.

During the visit, the NA Vice Chairwoman presented 100 gift packages to disadvantaged households in Nam Hoa Lu ward, and a further 900 packages to policy beneficiary families in several communes across the province. In Yen Tu commune, she presented 400 gift packages to policy families in Yen Tu, Yen Mac, Yen Mo and Dong Thai communes.

The official also paid a Tet visit to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thom in Yen Mac commune.

Thanh encouraged families to overcome difficulties and build better lives, while urging local Party committees and authorities to continue implementing social welfare policies effectively, ensuring care for vulnerable groups and leaving no one behind, especially during the traditional Tet holiday./.
