On June 15th, 2021, Animals Asia rescued, received, and transferred four bears at the Central Circus (Hanoi). The bears officially said goodbye to the circus and started a new life at the Vietnam Bear Rescue Center.

Dr. Tuan Bendisxen(Director of the Vietnam Bear Rescue Center): “For us, what the Central Circus has done is very meaningful. As they are pioneers, we are gradually moving towards our goal of protecting bears in Vietnam and moving towards a complete end to bear bile farming”.

Thanks to the care and attention of the “nannies” at the center, the rescued bears here have had positive changes. Unlike bears that are hunted in the wild and bred for bile, the four bears from the Central Circus were separated from their mothers at a very young age, and their behavior and mentality were changed, so the task of bringing them back to their instincts becomes more difficult than with other bears.

But after a year on the common roof of the bear, these four bears all had a positive change.
