(Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Sixty-threeindividuals were honoured with the title “Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer2021” at a ceremony held in Hanoi on December 2.
The winners include nine males and nine ethnic minority people.
Addressing the ceremony,Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union (VNFU) Luong Quoc Doan said in the past twoyears, Vietnamese farmers have continued to overcome difficulties caused by theCOVID-19 pandemic and stay united to help each other reduce poverty, contributingto the development of the homeland and the country as well as join hands tobuild a rich and beautiful new-style countryside and civilised urban areas.

This was the ninth time theceremony had been held by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union to honour Vietnamese farmers.
At the ceremony, on behalf ofleaders of the Party and the State, National Assembly Chairman Vuong DinhHue presented the certificates of merit to the honoured farmers./.
