Hanoi (VNA) – The 15th Congress of the Party Organisation of the National Assembly (NA) Office for the 2025–2030 term convened in Hanoi on July 16.

Politburo member, Secretary of the NA Party Committee, and NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended the event.

Addressing the event, Standing Deputy Secretary of the NA Party Committee and NA Vice Chairman Nguyen Khac Dinh stressed the need for the NA Office to undergo strong, comprehensive reform with a new mindset and a more specialised, effective, and better-coordinated approach to meet the demands of the new era.

He urged the Party Organisation of the NA Office to seriously and fully implement the guidelines and resolutions of the Party Central Committee and the NA Party Committee, and to actively contribute to the draft documents for the upcoming congresses at higher levels. He emphasised the importance of mastering the contents of the documents for the 14th National Party Congress and the first Congress of the NA Party Organisation in order to effectively translate them into institutional practices aligned with the specific functions and tasks of the NA Office.

The Vice Chairman also called for further innovation in leadership methods, with a focus on enhancing strategic thinking, forecasting, and scientific working models in policy formulation, resolution implementation, and action planning. He stressed the need for effective coordination with relevant agencies to comprehensively and efficiently fulfil the assigned duties.

He asked the Party Organisation to continue fulfilling its political tasks, restructure its apparatus to ensure organisational stability, and create favourable conditions for cadres and Party members to excel and dedicate themselves to public service.

Additionally, he highlighted the importance of building a clean and strong Party organisation in terms of political integrity, ideology, ethics, and personnel, aiming to enhance leadership capacity, combativeness, and internal political security.

During the 2020–2025 term, the Party Organisation of the NA Office successfully led its subordinate units in fulfilling a significant volume of political tasks, including many that arose beyond its initial action programme. This contributed to the successful tenure of the 15th NA.

The organisation effectively directed advisory work, supporting the NA in issuing a series of historic resolutions such as the amendment of the 2013 Constitution, reforms to the legal system for administrative restructuring, the two-tier local government model, and the review and resolution of legal bottlenecks to unblock stalled projects, particularly during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Party building and improving the quality of Party members remained a top priority, thereby enhancing the overall leadership and combat strength of the organisation.

According to a decision by the NA Party Committee’s Standing Board, Le Quang Tung, Party Central Committee member, member of the NA Party Committee’s Standing Board, member of the NA Standing Committee, NA Secretary-General and Chairman of the NA Office, has been appointed as Secretary of the Party Committee of the NA Office for the 2025–2030 term./.
