Party’s inspection, supervision work in 2024 reviewed

Hanoi (VNA) – General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee To Lam on December 19 attended and delivered a speech at a national teleconference held by the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat to sum up the Party’s inspection and supervision activities in 2024 and put forward tasks for the following year.

The results of the Party's inspection, supervision, and discipline enforcement tasks in 2024 showed that Party committees at all levels have inspected 55,075 Party organisations and 308,028 Party members. Of the total, 1,709 organisations and 6,058 members have shown shortcomings or violations. As a result, 35 organisations and 189 members have to be disciplined, in which disciplinary measures have been imposed on seven organisations and 136 members.

The Party committees at all levels have also conducted inspections when there were signs of violations against 344 Party organisations and 2,379 Party members. Among those, 233 organisations have committed violations, and 98 have to be disciplined, with disciplinary measures already imposed on 71. There are 1,934 Party members found to have violated rules, 1,326 of whom have to be disciplined, and 1,210 have been already disciplined.

The inspection commissions at all levels have conducted inspections when there were signs of violations against 3,133 Party organisations and 8,123 Party members. Following the inspections, 2,228 organisations and 6,685 members have been found committing violations. As a result, 262 organisations and 2,716 members have to be disciplined, and disciplinary measures have been imposed on 191 Party organisations and 2,345 Party members.

They have also monitored the implementation of inspection and supervision tasks for 33,546 Party organisations. Results revealed that 1,854 Party organisations have not performed well the inspection and supervision tasks; 1,574 Party organisations have not effectively led and directed the implementation of these duties, and 518 others do not have inspection and supervision programmes.

Regarding the directions for 2025, Standing Vice Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission Tran Van Ron stated that there will be a timely improvement of procedures related to the Party's disciplinary systems to ensure consistency with the new Party organisation model to better meet the requirements of the tasks set out./.

Final-week tasks stressed ahead of NA, People’s Council election

Special attention must be given to groups such as workers in industrial parks, university students, the elderly, people with disabilities, ethnic minority communities and voters living in specific or remote areas, ensuring that all eligible citizens can fully exercise their voting rights.

2026 inspection-supervision decision for NA Party Committee's Standing Board announced

The NA Party Committee is ready to cooperate closely, promptly provide relevant documents and materials, and work in accordance with the delegation’s requests. During the inspection and supervision process, its Standing Board hopes members of the inspection delegation will offer frank comments and clearly point out both its achievements and shortcomings.
