Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Finance announced increases in retail gasoline prices, effective from 3:00 pm on May 5.
Accordingly, E5 RON92 petrol is now capped at 19,180 VND (0.74 USD) per litre, up 403 VND from the previous adjustment, while RON95-III petrol costs 19,594 VND per litre, up 415 VND.
The price of diesel 0.05S was raised by 419 VND to 17,228 VND per litre, and that of kerosene increased by 285 VND to 17,226 VND per litre. Mazut saw a rise of 627 VND, now priced at 16,160 VND per kilogram.
There have been 20 fuel price adjustments since the beginning of this year.
Specifically, RON95-III petrol has experienced 10 price hikes and 10 cuts. Diesel oil price has increased nine times, decreased 10 times, and remained unchanged once.
In this adjustment, the authorities opted not to use the petrol and oil price stabilisation fund for any of the fuel categories./.

Fuel prices cut again from 3pm on May 8
Vietnam’s retail fuel prices were reduced for the second consecutive time from 3pm on May 8, under an urgent directive issued on the same day by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).
