Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group(PetroVietnam) is drastically implementing the dual goals of preventing the COVID-19 pandemic and maintaining production by vaccinating its employees.

Aiming at ensuring the healthof employees and uninterrupted business and production, the group is among thefirst State-owned enterprises launching their vaccination scheme for workers.

Officially launched on May 12,the PetroVietnam scheme prioritises workers directly involved in productionoperation and working at construction sites and oil rigs.

It has so far attracted the participation of thousands of people at the group’sunits located across the nation. The units include the Vietnam – Russia oil andgas joint venture Vietsovpetro, PetroVietnam Gas Corporation JSC (PV Gas), PetroVietnamExploration Production Corporation (PVEP), and Binh Son Refining andPetrochemical Company Limited./.

Vietnam expected to export over 7.5 million tonnes of rice in 2025

MARD’s supply and demand report sent to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) projects the Mekong Delta will cultivate 3.78 million hectares of rice, yielding more than 23.96 million tonnes. Of this, 15.08 million tonnes of commercial rice, equivalent to 7.54 million tonnes of husked rice, will be available for export.
