Vietnam ’s consistent policy is to create optimum conditions for foreign investors, particularly those from the US , and consider their success as part of Vietnam ’s development.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung made this statement while receiving a visiting US business delegation led by US-ASEAN Business Council President, Alexander Feldman, on Feb. 23 in Hanoi .

Members of the delegation include leaders of US giants in various fields ranging from energy, infrastructure construction, and insurance to telecommunication and information technology.

PM Dung encouraged businesses to directly and frankly discuss with Vietnamese authorities all problems arising during their operations in Vietnam , ensuring the maximum efficiency of the cooperation and investment activities.

Highly praising the dynamic development of Vietnam , US enterprises such as Federal Express, Intel, Time Warner and Chartis assert that it is Vietnam ’s open policies and favourable business environment that make the country an attractive investment destination for foreign investors.

The US businesses expressed their hope that Vietnam will offer further advantages to US firms and suggested that Vietnam’s authorised agencies step up dialogues, and exchange information with US businesses, so that they can expand investment activities in Vietnam./.
