Prime Minister meets OV in RoK

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has affirmed that more than 4 million Overseas Vietnamese (OV), including in the RoK, have made practical contributions to national socio-economic development.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has affirmed that more than 4 millionOverseas Vietnamese (OV), including in the RoK, have made practicalcontributions to national socio-economic development.

PM Dung made this statement at a meeting with the Vietnamesecommunity in the Republic of Korea on March 28, on the occasion of hisattendance at the second Nuclear Security Summit and official visit tothe RoK.

Overseas Vietnamese are a bridge to friendship,promoting cooperative relations and mutual understanding between Vietnamand other countries worldwide.

The Vietnamese community abroadis an inseparable part of the Vietnamese people and country, PM Dungsaid, adding that the Party and State will exert their utmost to protectthe interests of the Vietnamese community abroad.

He said hehopes the Vietnamese community in the RoK will help each other in theirdaily life, preserve the homeland’s cultural identity, integrate intotheir resident country and bring into play the role of bridging themultifaceted cooperative relations between Vietnam and the RoK.

Representativesof the Vietnamese community pledged that the community will obey theirresident country’s policies and do their best to further promote thestrong development of the community.

The same day, PM Dungvisited Korea University, the Science and Technology and TalentsInstitute of CJ Group and had meetings with a number of leading RoKgroups./.
