Quang Ninh’s Party Organisation opens 16th congress

For the 2025-2030 term, Quang Ninh is determined to be among the pioneers in realising Vietnam’s development aspirations in its new era, contributing to the national target of double-digit economic growth in coming decades. The province is committed to taking the lead in sci-tech application, innovation, digital transformation, and private economic sector development.

Quang Ninh (VNA) – The 16th Congress of the Quang Ninh Party Organisation for the 2025-2030 tenure opened in the northeastern coastal province on September 26, with the participation of 366 official delegates representing over 103,000 Party members and more than 1.4 million local residents.

Addressing the congress, Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Theory Council, and President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Nguyen Xuan Thang commended Quang Ninh’s achievements in the past tenure.

He urged the province to continue building a strong and clean Party and political system while renewing its mindset and development vision, shaping a new growth model driven by science-technology, innovation, digital transformation, and green transition. He highlighted the importance of developing modern processing and manufacturing industries, renewable energy, the maritime economy, and ecological agriculture.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Vu Dai Thang underlined that entering the 2025-2030 term, amid new circumstances and as a northern growth pole, Quang Ninh is determined to be among the pioneers in realising Vietnam’s development aspirations in its new era, contributing to the national target of double-digit economic growth in coming decades. The province is committed to taking the lead in sci-tech application, innovation, digital transformation, and private economic sector development.

To realise these goals, Quang Ninh will continue upgrading its modern, multimodal infrastructure system, particularly in economic and industrial zones, clusters, and seaports; focus on developing high-quality human resources tied to population growth and quality; and accelerate administrative reforms to create breakthroughs in improving the investment and business climate.

During the 2020-2025 tenure, the province recorded an average annual growth rate of 10.4%, 1.7 times higher than the national average. Its economic scale is estimated at 395 trillion VND (14.96 billion USD) in 2025, nearly doubling that of 2020.

At the opening session, the congress elected the 16th provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 55 members./.

Frigate 015 – Tran Hung Dao concludes visit to RoK
