Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily referenceexchange rate at 23,181 VND/USD on October 13, up 7 VND from the previous day.

With thecurrent trading band of + /- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applicable tocommercial banks during the day is 23,875 VND/USD and the ceiling rate 22,486VND/USD.

Theopening-hour rate at commercial banks saw decreases.

At 8:30 am,Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 22,620 VND/USD (buying) and the sellingrate 22,850 VND/USD (selling), down 10 VND from October 12.

BIDV also cutboth rates by 5 VND from October 12, listing at 22,655 VND/USD (buying) and22,855 VND/USD (selling)./.

Hanoi targets 30,000 new enterprises in 2025

By the end of 2024, the number of registered enterprises in the capital city reached over 400,000, with about 220,000 operating. Notably, more than 98% of the operating firms are SMEs which create jobs for 55.1% of the local workforce and contribute over 40% of the city’s gross domestic product (GDP).

TH Group inaugurates large-scale dairy processing plant in Russia

The plant has a total capacity of 1,000 tonnes per day, with the first phase producing 500 tonnes daily. All milk used at the plant is sourced from TH’s high-tech farms in the Moscow and Kaluga oblasts.
