Reference exchange rate down 5 VND on May 27

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,935 VND/USD on May 27, down 5 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,935 VND/USD on May 27, down 5 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,182 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,688 VND/USD.

At 8:20 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks saw decreases.

Both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 25,740 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,100 VND/USD, both down 30 VND from May 26./.
