Reference exchange rate down by 2 VND on January 8

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the dailyreference exchange rate at 22,827 VND/USD on the morning of January 8, down by 2VND from the day ago.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied bycommercial banks for the day is 23,511 VND/USD and the floor rate is 22,143VND/USD.

At 8:00 at the transaction office of the State Bank of Vietnam, the buying ratewas 23,200 VND/USD, and the selling rate was 23,464 VND/USD, unchanged from theprevious day.

Commercial banks kept their prices of USD stable.

At 8:00, Vietcombank and BIDV posted 23,155 – 23,245 VND/USD for its buyingand selling rates, unchanged from the morning of the day ago.

Techcombank offered 23,135 – 23,245 VND/USD as its buying and selling rates, unchangedfrom the morning of January 7.-VNA

Tax revenue from e-commerce surges

According to the department, 130 foreign suppliers, including Google and Facebook, have registered, declared, and paid taxes through the electronic tax portal for foreign providers, contributing a total of 2.91 trillion VND (114 million USD).
