Reference exchange rate stays stable on March 11

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,312 VND/USD, and the floor rate 23,806 VND/USD.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 25,059 VND/USD on March 11, unchanged from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,312 VND/USD, and the floor rate 23,806 VND/USD.

At 8:15am, the buying and selling rates at major commercial banks saw fluctuations.

Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 26,011 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,311 VND/USD, down 44 VND and 4 VND, respectively, from the March 10 morning session.

Meanwhile, BIDV also cut the buying rate by 36 VND to 26,035 VND/USD and kept the selling rate unchanged at 26,311 VND/USD./.

CAAV proposes tax cuts, financial support for airlines

These include a proposal to exempt 100% of the environmental protection tax on aviation fuel until the end of May this year, and to add aviation fuel to the list of goods eligible for a reduced value-added tax (VAT) from 10% to a lower appropriate rate.

Total market sales by the end of February reached 46,153 units, up 39% compared with the same period last year.
