Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 25,059 VND/USD on March 9, up 2 VND from the last working day of the previous week.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,312 VND/USD, and the floor rate 23,806 VND/USD.
At 8:35, the buying and selling rates at major commercial banks saw fluctuations.
Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 26,031 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,311 VND/USD, both up 2 VND from the March 6 morning session.
Meanwhile, BIDV raised the buying rate by 6 VND to 26,035 VND/USD and kept the selling rate unchanged at 26,309 VND/USD./.
