Reference exchange rate up 10 VND

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily referenceexchange rate at 23,200 VND per USD on November 5, up 10 VND from the previousday.

With thecurrent trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercialbanks during the day is 23,895 VND/USD and the floor rate, 22,505 VND/USD.

The openinghour rates at most commercial banks stayed stable.

At 8:25 am,Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,060 VND/USD and the selling rate at23,270 VND/USD, both unchanged from the previous day.

BIDV keptboth rates unchanged from November 4, listing at 23,090 VND/USD (buying) and23,270 VND/USD (selling).

Meanwhile,Techcombank cut both rates by 1 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,068 VND/USDand the selling rate at 23,268 VND/USD./.
