The figure included over 233,000 tonnes shipped since the beginning of May, which brought home 95.7 million USD.
Earlier, VFA said Vietnam targets exporting 2.2 million tonnes of rice in the second quarter of the year, raising the total export volume for the first six months to 3.65 million tonnes.
In 2012, Vietnam exported 7.72 million tonnes of rice, earning 3.45 billion USD, representing an increase of 8.29 percent in volume, but a fall of 1.98 percent in value.
