The Republic of Korea (RoK) has provided a concessional loan of 63.88 million USD for sewage system development in Takhmao town, Kandal province, Cambodian news agency (AKP) reported.

Phnom Penh (VNA) – The Republic ofKorea (RoK) has provided a concessional loan of 63.88 million USD for sewagesystem development in Takhmao town, Kandal province, Cambodian news agency(AKP) reported.

The Economic Development Cooperation Fund(EDCF) Loan Agreement for Sewerage System Development in Takhmao Town Projectbetween the Cambodia and the Export-Import Bank of the RoK was signed on April3 between Secretary of State for Economy and Finance of Cambodia VongseyVissoth and head of EDCF Cambodia Office Chang Youn-Soo.

According to the Ministry of Economy andFinance, the main part of the project is the construction of a wastewatertreatment plant with the filing capacity of 7,600 cubic metres per day and therehabilitation of 16.2 kilometre-long dam.

Cambodian Senior Minister and Minister ofEconomy and Finance Aun Porn Moniroth said from 2001 to April 2018, Cambodiasigned 21 concessional loan agreements with the RoK’s EDCF worth 763 million USDin total for physical infrastructure development projects in the Kingdom.- VNA
