Tel Aviv (VNA) –
Saigon beer from Vietnam has impressed Israeli visitors at the first Asian Food Market held in Tel Aviv city in mid-November.

Saigon beer was introduced through the Diplomat Company – one of the leading firms in Israel with a wide distribution network across Israeli supermarkets and restaurants.

Director General of the company Roni Bornstein expressed his impression at made-in-Vietnam products, especially Saigon beer with eye-catching design and high quality.

It took his company more than two years to persuade Israeli management agencies to import Saigon beer into the country, he said, adding that beer bottles bear the brand printed in Hebrew under Koser standards of Jews.

He said many Israelis have known Vietnam through tourism, culture and gastronomy. Therefore, they want to taste Vietnamese food and beverages right in their country.

Roni revealed that the first batch of Vietnamese beer imported in Israel has been sold out.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Israel Cao Hoang Quoc Hai said the embassy has actively supported with procedures to popularise the beer brand in the market.

With the participation of companies from Asian countries such as India, Thailand, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and China, the Asian Food Market creates a good chance for Vietnam to promote its food and beverages to foreign visitors.

Hai advised Vietnamese businesses to increase their popularity in the market by actively participating in trade fairs and exhibitions and creating high-quality products.-VNA
