Statistics of the CTA showed that Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam,Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines are among the 10 most populardestinations for Chinese outbound travellers during the holiday from October 1to 8 this year.
Thanks to over 45 percent of Chinese travellers to Southeast Asian countries, thenumber of flights between China and ASEAN countries witnessed a surge of morethan 2,700 flights a week.
Besides, among nine Southeast Asian nation members, nine offered visa-free orvisa-on-arrival policies for Chinese tourists.
In 2016, more than 30 million trips were made between China and ASEANcountries, compared with 10 million in 2011. The two are each other's largestoverseas tourist destinations and largest sources of tourists.
According to Ctrip, a leading provider of travel services in China, the numberof Chinese outbound tourists is expected to jump to six million in this year’sholiday.-VNA
